Martin Hudec

Actor and musical singer who has extensive experience with theatrical panels. Thanks to the theatre he travelled all over Slovakia and also worked abroad. Here he teaches acting classes at the Musical Academy.

The actor and musical singer Maťo Hudec cooperated with the theatres DPOH, Astorka Korzo 90, Aréna, A.ha Theatre, Ludus, Istropolis, Theatro Wüstenrot, New Stage Theatre, and DAB in Nitra. He also played in the Puppet Theater at the Crossroads in Banská Bystrica, Puppet Theater in Žilina, DJZ in Prešov, City Theater in Brno, Hybernia in Prague and Heineken Tower Stage. Only recently he played one of the main characters in the well-known musical School of Rock directed by Janko Ďurovčík. From 2000-2002 he worked in Australia where he became a member of the State Opera. In the theatre, he also played the main character in the musical Les Miserables. He made 16 films or television productions, and also starred in TV series with episodic characters: “Ordinácia v ružovej záhrade”, “Panelák”, “V mene zákona”, “Aféry” and “Rádio”. Martin is a well-known character in various musicals. Starred in Dying for Beauty - Tiberge, Gospel of Mary - Jesus, King David - King David, Pied Piper - Stephen, Nuns 2, Rocky Horror Show, Hair - Woof, Cleopatra - Rufius, Three Musketeers - Rochefort, Hair, Golem, West Side Story - Dotoho&Diesel, Francis of Assisi - Black Knight, “Ôsmy svetadiel” - multi roles, Pomade - Vince Fontaine. In 2009 he received the Literary Fund prize for the character of the Black Knight in the musical Francis of Assisi. On the stages of the New Stage Theatre, he played Tybalt in the musical Romeo and Juliet.
